YOU ARE INNER PEACE?

Let’s talk about inner peace. Inner peace begins when you stop trying to control everything outside of you and start taking care of what's happening within you. Most people think inner peace means a perfect life, relationship, hella money, cars, and jewelry. It doesn’t. It’s knowing your happiness isn’t dependent on everybody else. Love people without losing yourself, enjoy solitude without feeling abandoned, and want more while appreciating what you have. Stand on business for yourself, protect your peace, and NEVER forget YOU. You are inner peace.

3 WAYS TO GAIN INNER PEACE

Follow these 3 steps to start regaining your inner peace:

1. Protect your peace with boundaries. Stop taking responsibility for everybody else's problems. Learn to say no without guilt, release what you cannot control, and give yourself permission to rest without feeling like you owe somebody something.

2. Make time for yourself. Spend 10 minutes a day journaling, sitting quietly, stretching, fck it, just enjoying nature. Ask yourself, What am I feeling? What do I need? What can I let go of today? You don't have to solve your entire life in one day.

3. Practice acceptance and gratitude. Accept that some people won't change, some situations won't go your way, and not everything needs an immediate answer. Appreciate what is working in your life while taking small steps toward what you want to improve.

AROMATHERAPY

Certain scents can become part of a calming ritual. Aromatherapy research suggests some fragrances may help reduce temporary anxiety, although results vary and the evidence isn't conclusive.

Fragrance

Why people use it

Lavender

Relaxation, winding down, bedtime rituals

Sandalwood

A warm, grounding scent for meditation

Frankincense

Reflection, prayer, and mindful rituals

Jasmine

A floral scent associated with comfort and relaxation

Rose

A gentle fragrance for a soothing atmosphere

Cedarwood

An earthy scent for a cozy, grounded feeling

AROMATHERAPY TIPS

My recommendation: Start with lavender for relaxation or sandalwood for meditation. Choose whichever scent makes you feel comfortable; no fragrance can guarantee inner peace or treat anxiety on its own. It’s up to you.

A small safety note: Burning incense produces smoke and fine particles that can irritate your lungs. If you have asthma, allergies, or scent sensitivity, consider an unlit incense stick or a lightly scented alternative instead. Keep any burning incense away from pets, children, and flammable objects. And husbands.

Try pairing your chosen fragrance with 10 minutes of quiet time, journaling, or gentle stretching. The repeated ritual can become a cue to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
